SERVICES

Su Casa Hispanic Center is a program of Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio. We are the leading provider of emergency assistance, case management, home study/post-release services (HSPRS), educational services, and health promotion
services to the most vulnerable Hispanic/Latino immigrants within the Greater Cincinnati region.

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

Su Casa aids new arrived families that need support and guidance navigating the American Systems. Many times, our
Emergency Assistance services help the families we serve meet their day-to-day needs.

This includes the following services:

  • Needs assessment
  • Notary services
  • Benefits application assistance
  • Employment referral services
  • Assistance filling forms
  • Orientation navigating different systems

Case Management

Su Casa case managers assist individuals and families in navigating complex cases by advocating for them and connecting them to much needed resources in the community. A client’s level of trauma is assessed, and a case worker will work with the client on a plan with goals for self-sufficiency. To refer someone for case management services, please complete this referral form:

Home Study/Post-Release Services (HSPRS)

Su Casa is the only program within a 200-mile radius offering home studies and post release services for unaccompanied children, under the sponsorship of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. We do so until the juvenile becomes self-sufficient or becomes an adult.

Education

Su Casa provides instruction and training in a wide variety of subjects.

MARCC ID Drives

The Metropolitan Area Religious Coalition of Cincinnati (MARCC) community identification (ID) is an identification document that is available and officially recognized within the City of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, the City of Covington, KY and other local jurisdictions. The card improves the potential for individuals to be recognized and provided with equal protection and
due process under the law.

Furthermore, the card allows cardholders to receive governmental and local services in Cincinnati. The MARCC ID is not a replacement for a state or federal ID, a license to drive a motor vehicle, nor does it give the cardholder the right to vote. Su Casa executes the MARCC ID drives several times a year.

For more information about our next MARCC ID event, call (513) 761-1588.

If you are attending a MARCC ID Event and would like an identification card, you will need to bring the following:

  1. A form of identification with photo
  2. Proof of address (within 90 days)
  3. $20 in cash to pay for services rendered

“Vacaciones Útiles, Su Casa’s summer enrichment program, was a great experience for our son, Julián. Our desire was for Julián to enhance his speech and communication skills with his classmates and teachers. This program did so. Julián’s progress in six weeks exceeded our expectations. He learned more during this time than in the previous school year.

We are super grateful to Su Casa’s staff and volunteers for their dedication to this program. It was a great experience and we hope to repeat it next year. Thank you!”
