ABOUT US

Su Casa Hispanic Center is a program of Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio. We are the leading provider of emergency assistance, case management, home study/post-release services (HSPRS), educational services, and health promotion services to the most vulnerable Hispanic/Latino immigrants within the Greater Cincinnati region.

HISTORY & MISSION

Su Casa was founded in 1997 by nineteen parishioners at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church under the leadership of Franciscan priest Father Joe Nelson. The program started with social services across the street from the Church and continued to grow, and merged with Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio in 2005.
Su Casa’s mission is to provide an array of services to the Hispanic/Latino community of the tri-state area while supporting efforts toward self-sufficiency. Also, Su Casa strives to become the place where Hispanic/Latino individuals connect with their culture and develop strategies to live healthy and fulfilled lives in the United States.

“Vacaciones Útiles, Su Casa’s summer enrichment program, was a great experience for our son, Julián. Our desire was for Julián to enhance his speech and communication skills with his classmates and teachers. This program did so. Julián’s progress in six weeks exceeded our expectations. He learned more during this time than in the previous school year. We are super grateful to Su Casa’s staff and volunteers for their dedication to this program. It was a great experience and we hope to repeat it next year. Thank you!”
